The power that is ARMY is one force that the world cannot deny. When it comes to BTS, the fans are usually protective of them to the tooth and nail, whether it be against other artists, the media, or even the members’ company. A few weeks back, fans noticed that there were several BTS live performances that were deleted from the hosts’ YouTube channel. This caused quite a stir as most of those videos, over 25, were BTS’ older performances and some were even the band’s first performances in the United States. Fans were disappointed that their “boys” hard work was going down the drain as they worked hard to showcase their talent which was being dismissed.
BTS’ “Black Swan” performances have been a work of art and visuals that have set the standards for all performances. These performances only stand next to BTS’ own “Dynamite” performances. When the “Black Swan” music video unexpectedly dropped, the whole world took notice, as the song itself was very different from what BTS had been releasing. The great contrast between black and white and light and shadows made the music video an instant hit. The contemporary dance styles showcased BTS’ numerous talent in being able to do any kind of music. “Black Swan” is simply art in motion.
No song embodies art, life, mystery, beauty and soul like BTS’s song “Black Swan”. Not only the lyrics but the whole performance is a show that one cannot take their eyes from. “Black Swan” uses light and shadows to depict the deep conflicting emotions that keep stirring fighting to come out. BTS members’ performances are flawless, and emotionally draw you in into the story like a moth being drawn to light. The song is a sort of surrendering to life or your art with abandon, letting go and giving in to get to the perfect illusion that is happiness.
BTS won four Awards at this year’s 35th Golden Disk Awards (GDA 2021) and gave an outstanding performance of their smash hit songs “Black Swan” and “ON”. Both songs are in BTS’ Album “Map Of The Soul” 7″ that just won “Best Album” and “Album Of The Year” during the awards ceremony. BTS Suga made an appearance for the “Black Swan” intro but did not perform “ON” with the rest of the members. He is still in recovery after his shoulder injury but had earlier said that he wanted to make an appearance so that he would not be forgotten, not likely Suga, but we are still hoping for a complete recovery for you.
BTS “Black Swan” performance felt like a whole theatrical performance that had aspects of art, storyline and wow factor. The perdormance was on that glued you to the screen as you watches the full drama unfold. Each part of the performance was perfect! The moment that had the whole world put the performance on repeat was Jimin and Jungkook’s lift in their solo act. The movement was flawless, singular and mostly technical. Most people enjoyed it for its visuals and artistic value which was mind blowing.
