“Daechwita” is the lead single for Suga aka AgustD’s second mixtape “D-2” released by South Korean rapper Agust D, released on May 22, 2020. BTS’ music video ”DNA” surpassed 1.2 billion views on YouTube!
“DNA” is the title song for BTS’ album “LOVE YOURSELF 承’Her’ released on 18th September 2017 exceeded the 1.2 billion views on February 11th. “DNA” was the first BTS music video to reach 1 billion views on You Tube and has been on a steady rise, adding 100 million views in about 4 months after recording the impressive 1.1 billion views mark. “DNA” became the first-place winner on various South Korean weekly music programs. The song won a total of 10 music show awards including a “triple crown” (three consecutive wins) on both Music Bank and Inkigayo. The song also achieved five consecutive Melon Weekly Popularity Awards due to its substantial success on digital platforms.
“Dynamite” was released on 21st August 2020 and premiered with over 3 million peak concurrent viewers, and setting a new all-time record for the biggest music video premiere on YouTube. The chart topping single became the fastest YouTube video to reach 10 million views, doing so after only 20 minutes of release, and the most viewed YouTube video in the first 24 hours, with 101.1 million views and setting three new Guinness World Records. “Dynamite” music video is the fastest in YouTube history to cross the 200 million mark, in just four days and twelve hours after release.
BTS’ “Dynamite” Surpassed 800 million views on YouTube therefore becoming the group’s sixth music video to reach the milestone. The video achieved this milestone just a month after recording 700 million views on the platform, and it took just 155 days to hit the 800 million milestone! Legendary behaviour! Dynamite began its journey by breaking several records like the most watched video in 24 hours by clocking 101.1 million views on YouTube, it became the fastest MV to reach 200 million views and has been on a steady increase barely 6 months since it was released on 21st August 2020.
“Lights” is BTS’ single for their fourth Japanese-language studio album, Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~ released in 2020. It was the sixth best-selling single of 2019 in Japan and received a million certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) only a month after its release, making BTS the first male foreign artist to achieve this.
