BTS’ “Dynamite” Breaks Another Record On Billboard Hot 100 Chart This Week

BTS’ “Dynamite” is on a mission of breaking records in its wake, released on 21st August 2020, the song is in its 7th month and yet has been collecting records left right and center without apology. Released by BTS  with an intention to soothe listeners during the COVID 19 pandemic, talking about joy and appreciation for the little things that make life valuable, “Dynamite” has become a song to be reckoned with. This week, “Dynamite” remains on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the first song by a Korean group in history to spend 30 weeks on the chart! and also the 2nd longest run by a Korean act ever at 30 weeks.

BTS’ “Life Goes On” Debuts High & “Dynamite” Peaks High on Billboard Hot 100

BTS “Life Goes On” debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 while “Dynamite” jumps back at No. 3 from No. 14 on Billboard Hot 100. BTS LEGENDS! ARMY LEGENDS! “Life Goes On” was released recently on 20th November 2020. “Dynamite” was released barely 4 month ago on 21st August 2020. The two songs seem to be polar opposites as “Dynamite” is fully in English with a bright pop and danceable beat, while “Life Goes On” is a predominantly Korean song with a mellow, slow kind of beat. As much as they are different in terms of composition, melody and even feel, they both have on thing in common. BTS wanted to bring comfort and hope in these hard times of COVID-19 and that is why they released the two songs, albeit at different times. This is the second time BTS has had 2 songs on the top 10 Billboard Hot 100 Charts at the same time!
