BTS Adds Another Record As “My Universe” With Coldplay Makes It’s Debut At #1 On Billboard Hot 100

“Coldply and BTS’ latest collaboration “My Universe” debuts at #1 on Billboard Hot 100 US Charts! With “My Universe” it becomes BTS’s fifth song to debut at no 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. BTS have made history by now beconing the group with the most songs to debut at No. 1. Overall for all artists included (solo plus groups) BTS is now tied with Ariana Grande and Drake for most debuts at #1 Coldplay claims its second Hot 100 No. 1, after “Viva La Vida” ruled the June 28, 2008, chart

“My Universe” is now BTS’s sixth song to top the Hot 100, following “Dynamite,” (2020) “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” with Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo, “Life Goes On,” (2020) “Butter,” (2021) and “Permission to Dance.” (2021). BTS has has achieved six No. 1s in a year and just over one month, thus becoming the second fastest to do achive this feat after The Beatles’ whose record was one year and two weeks in 1964-1966.

According to MRC Data, My Universe” drew 11.5 million U.S. streams and 5.5 million radio airplay audience impressions and sold 127,000 downloads and physical singles combined in its first week, ending Sept. 30

“My Universe” is the first Hot 100 No. 1 by two groups each sporting lead billing on a song. “My Universe” is BTS’ ninth Hot 100 top 10, dating to its first, “Fake Love” (No. 10 debut and peak, June 2018) Source
