
“BTS Jung Kook’s single “Stay Alive” is projected to give him his first ever solo carer Entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. “Stay Alive” produced by fellow band member SUGA was released on 11th February and hit the ground running in terms of breaking and setting new records. The song became the best selling song in the US as it immediately hit #1 on US iTunes and was the fastest song to hit 98 #1s on iTines in its first 24 hours of release.
The song also dominated iTunes in 8 of the biggest music markets at #1 and stayed on the Worldwide songs iTunes chart for 5 consecutive days, the highest for a solo K-pop artist. According to Forbes “Stay Alive” stands a good shot at debuting on the Hot 100 later in February, after it has enjoyed a full tracking frame in which to rack up streams and sales”
So far SUGA, and V have had debuts on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as solo acts with SUGA achieving that with two names, SUGA and AgustD.
