BTS’ Jimin Makes Full Recovery From COVID-19 & Is Officially Discharged From Hospoital

“Jimin BTS’ member has fully recovered from COVID-19 which he had been diagnosed with after falling sick and being discovered to be suffering from acute appendicitis for which he underwent a surgery on 31st January. On 5th February BIGHIT Music annouced that Jimin has been discharged from hospital after taking the PCR test once again and was found negative for the virus. He is now recuperating well, according to the statement, Jimin does not have the sore throat he had before and his surgical site is quickly healing without any issues. The full statement reads;

Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC.

We would like to inform you that BTS Member Jimin’s quarantine has concluded after his surgery for acute appendicitis as of this early morning (February 5).

Jimin was tested positive for COVID-19 and diagnosed with acute appendicitis on Sunday, January 30 and underwent surgery on Monday, January 31. He has since received inpatient care and tested negative on his PCR test before being discharged from the hospital.

Jimin showed no extraordinary symptoms during his hospital stay. He had a mild sore throat at the time of his admission but has since completely recovered. We also received word from the medical staff that his surgical site is quickly healing without any issues. Jimin is currently recuperating after being discharged from the hospital.

We would like to express our gratitude to all the fans who have shown concerns for the artist’s health as well as those in the medical field who are doing their best to overcome COVID-19.

We will continue to place the health of the artists as our top priority, and to vigilantly follow the health care guidelines.

Appendicitis is inflammation of the appendix, a finger-shaped pouch present at the lower right side of the abdomen. Symptoms commonly include right lower abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and decreased appetite. However, approximately 40% of people do not have these typical symptoms. It starts with a dull pain in the middle or right side of the abdomen and moves down to the lower right abdomen. Severe complications of a ruptured.

Treatable by a medical professional and often requires lab test or imaging. The condition is common for ages 10 -30. The time taken for recovery can be from several weeks to several months.
