BTS’ “Butter” maintains its top position on Billboard Hot 100 Chart this week! BTS now have 10 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 records!
The Billboard Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data. According to Billboard, “Butter,” released on 21st May 2021, drew 11 million U.S. streams, down 11%, and sold 153,600 (downloads, cassette and vinyl combined), up 20%, in the week ending July 1, according to MRC Data.
The song also attracted 28.3 million radio airplay audience impressions, up 2%, in the week ending July 4. The song charted at #3 on Global 200 Singles and #2 on Global 200 Singles Excl US.
BTS have joined the ranks of Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s 1995 mega hit single “One Sweet Day,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 16 straight weeks since its debut, it is the the only one song by a group to ever achieve that milestone. “Butter” is the 9th song ever in the history of the Hot 100 to spend its first six weeks at #1. Butter is also this week’s top selling song.
BTS become the first Korean act to debut at #1 on the Hot 100 with “Dynamite” in 2020. Their song “Life Goes On” was the first non English song to debut at #1 on Hot 100 charts, and with “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” by Jawsh 687 and Jason Derulo, BTS had 3 #1 Hot 100 debut songs in less than a year!!
