“Butter” by BTS hits another high as it spends its 5th week at #1 on Billboard Hot 100 Chart! BTS’ second all English song is proving that it came for longevity, long after surpassing “Dynamite’s” records, the song is showing off its charm as the perfect summer song!
According to Billboard “Butter” closes the week with 12.5 Us streams, and 128,400 downloads sold which is 15% up from last week and had 27.6 million radio airplay audience impressions which is a 6% increase.
BTS became the first Asian artist to hit No. 1 for four straight weeks. Previously, Japanese singer Kyu Sakamoto held the title with “Sukiyaki” in 1963, now they have surpassed that record with their 5th no. 1 hit. “Butter” debuted at #1 when it was released and has now spent every week in June at number 1! That is the perfect way for BTS to close their birthday month.
The seven-piece act now has ten Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 records. “Butter” leads the list with five, Dynamite” with three, as well as “Life Goes On” and “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” with one each.
