BTS j-hope’s single “Chicken Noodle Soup” ft. Becky G has reached 102 #1’s on iTunes worldwide!! j-hope’s ‘Chicken Noodle Soup ft. Becky G.’ now ties with ‘Hello by Adele, ‘Film Out’ by BTS & ‘Daechwita’ by Agust D.

The song becomes the 12th overall song to reach 102 #1’s on iTunes worldwide & the 9th highest charting song in history! j-hope’s ‘Chicken Noodle Soup ft. Becky G.’ also ranked #1 on Genius Korea K-Hip-Hop chart!!

“Chicken Noodle Soup” by South Korean rapper j-hope features American singer Becky G. It was released on September 27, 2019. The song samples American DJ Webstar and rapper Young B’s song “Chicken Noodle Soup” featuring the Voice of Harlem from Webstar’s album, Webstar Presents: Caught in the Web (2006).

j-hope expressed in a V Live stream that the original “Chicken Noodle Soup” by Webstar and Young B was meaningful to him because he often listened to it when he first began learning to dance. J-Hope wanted his version of “Chicken Noodle Soup” to be featured on his debut mixtape Hope World as the track represented his passion for dance. Becky G and J-Hope contributed to writing the trilingual lyrics, which center around one’s identity and paying respect to their roots.

Young B’s (now Bianca Bonnie) even reacted to a fan who shared a part of J-Hope’s latest V Live broadcast where he spoke about the song when the song was released in 2019

j-hope’s Chicken Noodle Soup ft. Becky G was performed for the very first time during the 2021 BTS MUSTER SOWOOZOO but with all the members.
