BTS’ “BE” album by BTS released on 20th November has been certified Gold (25,000 units) in Italy. “BE” becomes the first album by a Korean act in history to be certified GOLD in Italy! It has been a great day for BTS as Dynamite became the fastest MV by a Korean Group to reach 1 Billion views on YouTube, their latest Japanese Single “Film Out” debuted at #1 on Billboard Digital Song Sales Chart adding another record for BTS on the charts. BTS have also announced this year’s Bang Bang Con that will be held later this month. It is truly a year that BTS have hit the ground running and have been hard at work doing what they love the most, producing good music.
“BE” is BTS’ fifth to debut at number one on the Billboard 200, making BTS the fastest group to earn five chart-topping albums in the United States since the Beatles. BTS also became the only act besides Taylor Swift to debut atop the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts simultaneously. The album also topped charts in Canada, Denmark, Japan, Lithuania, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, the Republic of Ireland, South Korea, and the Walloon region of Belgium; it peaked within the top ten of the charts in 14 countries, including Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
“BE” album debuted at number one on South Korea’s Gaon Album Chart with over 2.2 million copies sold in its first week. This marked the second-highest opening week sales figures in the chart’s history—Map of the Soul: 7 holds the record with over 3.3 million copies its first week.
