“Dynamite” has been certified GOLD in Denmark, becoming BTS first Single to achieve a certification in the country for selling 4.5 million units: physical, digital and streaming.
On March 9, 2021, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) published its annual top-10 charts. “Dynamite” was named the 10th best-selling digital single of 2020 globally, having amassed 1.28 billion subscription stream equivalents worldwide in less than five months. Following the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on March 14, Billboard reported a surge in sales of all songs performed on the show for that day.
“Dynamite” sold 10,500 copies, a 2,748% increase, and was the top-selling song of the night. It returned to the top of the Digital Songs Sales chart for a 15th non-consecutive week, further extending its record for the most weeks at number one among all groups on the ranking. The single is BTS’ fourth to achieve platinum status in the US, but their first to receive double-platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), on March 17.
As of March 27, “Dynamite” has spent 30 consecutive weeks all inside the top 50, on the Hot 100 as the second longest-charting song by a Korean artist on the chart “Gangnam Style” holds the record with 31 weeks.
