BTS x HYUNDAI “What Does Water Mean to You” Campaign for World Water Day

Today March 22, 2021 is World Water Day. BTS have joined Hyundai for World Water Day celebration, “This year we’ve joined BTS to celebrate the meaning this precious resource has for all of us. What does water mean to you? Tell us in the comments.” Hyundai

World Water Day” is an annual United Nations (UN) observance day held on 22 March that highlights the importance of fresh water. The day is used to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. The theme of each day focuses on topics relevant to clean water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), which is in line with the targets of Sustainable Development Goal 6.

The theme for 2021 was “Valuing Water”. People were invited to join a global conversation to “tell us your stories, thoughts and feelings about water” on social media using the hashtag #Water2me. The campaign looked beyond the issue of pricing, asking the public: “How is water important to your home and family life, your livelihood, your cultural practices, your wellbeing, your local environment?”

This is not the first time that BTS have partnered with Hyundai

Hyundai signed BTS to a promotional deal in 2018 presenting a sustainable future through hydrogen energy. The company rolled out its full-size Palisade SUV and promoted its hydrogen fuel-cell Nexo.

On September 1, BTS and Hyundai debuted a music video called, “Ioniq: I’m On It,” designed to promote the new sub-brand, which was launched in August.
