On 17th March, the world woke up to the unfortunate and heart breaking news about a mass shooting in Atlanta. The mass shooting incident in three Atlanta-area spa parlors hal led to the deaths of eight people, six of whom were Asian women. Hate crimes towards Asians have increased significantly since the beginning of the pandemic.

Celebrities all over the world came together to speak in one voice regarding the incident, they took to social platforms to comfort the bereaved and state their stand against all forms of hate crime, racism and xenophobia. The hashtag #StopAsianHate trended online with many personalities coming forth with their stance, from the Vice President Kamala Haris, governors, celebrities, sports players, media all spoke with one voice, #StopAsianHate.

It is heart breaking that there are humans who would cause harm to another human and use all kinds of excuses about why they did it. There is never any good that comes out of doing something bad as you cannot take the action back.
