BTS Adds Another Guinness World Record After Their Win at The 2021 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

Record breakers, Record setters Biggest Band in the world BTS just added another Guinness World Records to their caps of achievements. BTS are not new to the world of breaking records, they are constantly breaking decade, years old records, breaking their own records and they are not new to the world of setting record either. BTS have broken yet another record after their recent wins at the 34th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards held on 13 March 2021.

They have now achieved the most Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards won by a music group with 5 Awards.

Their record wins extends from 2018 – 2021 where they’ve won in various categories from Favorite Global Music Star to Favorite Song, with 2021 being their most successful year yet at the awards. Their wins so far, in 2018 they won Favorite Global Music Star, in 2020 they won Favorite Music Group and in 2021 they won 3 awards Favorite Music Group, Favorite Global Music Star and Favorite Song for “Dynamite“. The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, which was held virtually due to the pandemic.

BTS’ Billboards hit “Dynamite”, holds several Guinness World Records titles after its release on 21st August 2020: “Dynamite” holds Most simultaneous viewers for a music video on YouTube Premieres, Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group, Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours and Most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours

The IFPI Recording Artists of the Year Jin, Suga, RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook currently hold 16 (sixteen) records, including the first K-pop act to reach No.1 on the US Artist 100, fastest time to reach one million followers on TikTok and best-selling album (South Korea) and owning fastest selling album in South Korea with their record breaking “Map of the Soul: 7” Album

In 2020 BTS held the record for the most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours for “Boy with Luv”, featuring Halsey. The track also claimed the overall title for most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours and most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group.

BTS are not the only ones who break records, their loyal fans BTS ARMY, also helped to contribute to the record for the most used hashtag on Twitter in 24 hours. In March 2019. The most-used hashtag #TwitterBestFandom was retweeted 60,055,339 times.

On Twitter BTS have several world records, May 8, 2017 Most Twitter engagements – Group (male) 152,112 avg. retweets, November 22, 2017 Most Twitter engagements overall 252,200 avg. retweets, August 21, 2018 Most Twitter engagements overall 330,624 avg. retweets

BTS also holds a Guinness World Record for the fastest-growing account on TikTok. It took the boys just three hours and 31 minutes to reach 1,000,000+ followers on TikTok. Accordingly, they also hold the record for the fastest time to reach one million followers on TikTok

Another record that BTS holds is largest online concert, On June 14th BTS held an online concert “Bang Bang Con: The Live,” in total, 756,000 ARMY tuned in from over 100 countries to watch the online performance. They were awarded “most viewers for a music concert live stream”

In 2020 BTS broke that record when their “Map Of The Soul ON:E”  virtual concert was held for 2 days. The concert was watched by nearly 1 million viewers as there were 993,000 ticket holders watching from 191 countries!

The year has just began as we wait what other records BTS will set and break.
