BTS Won 2 Awards at Denmark’s Prestigious GAFFA Awards (GAFFA-Prisen)

BTS have been winning international awards since the year 2020 and the awards are still trickling in, they have won awards from France, Japan, the USA, Europe, among other nations. On 5th March it was announced that BTS won 2 awards at the At The Danish Music Award Show (Gaffaprisen awards). BTS won the awards for “International Band of the Year” and  “International Album of the Year” for Map Of The Soul: 7 establishing their worldwide influence as the greatest band in the world.

The GAFFA Awards (Danish: GAFFA-Prisen) are an annual event created in 1991 to hand out prizes for music achievements. Since 2010, the awards have been held at a large gala show in Copenhagen, in Odense (2017-2019) and in Aarhus Musikhuset since 2020. Categories include Album of the Year, Foreign Album of the Year, Singer of the Year and Foreign Singer of the Year. Since 2010, GAFFA’s Swedish readers have also voted for and celebrated their favourite artists through GAFFA Priset.

In 2012, GAFFA Norway similarly established its version of the awards. BTS was nominated for “This year’s international release” with “Ariana Grande: Positions,” “Dua Lipa: Future Nostalgia,” “Taylor Swift: Folklore,” and “The Weeknd: After Hours, “ For the “International band of the year” BTS were up against “AC / DC,” “Gorillaz,” “Green Day,” and “Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band”

BTS were even congratulated by Einar H. Jensen, the Ambassador of Denmark to Korea. “Congratulations to BTS on winning 2 awards at Denmark’s prestigious #Gaffaprisen awards.
