BTS made history when they became the first Korean artist to be nominated for the 63rd GRAMMY Awards and they added another millstone when they were selected in the lineup for the performers at for the biggest night in music. Getting nominated and/or performing at the GRAMMYs is every artist’s dream and fans are happy that finally the band members are being recognized for their music that has changed the world. Just recently BTS had 3 albums in the 2020’s IFPI Global Album Sales Chart beating Michael Jackson’s 12 year record, cementing BTS’ influence in the music industry. BTS have been doing interviews in preparation for the big day. BTS sat down with AP Entertainment and revealed how they will spend their GRAMMY night.
SUGA first noted that the awards ceremony will be very early in the morning in South Korea, around 4:00AM KST.
“The awards ceremony will be very early hours in Korea, so there is really not much that we can do early in the morning,” Suga
“.. but we’ll probably have a glass of wine or maybe and do something in the morning, whatever we can do, hug each other once” RM
Jimin and Jungkook said that they want to share the honor with ARMYs all across the world.
“We need to thank ARMY for giving us this honor and opportunity,” Jimin
“I think we were made even more certain that there is this special connection between us and ARMY. Even though we are far apart, we felt really close and we’re very thankful.” Jungkook
Last year November 2020, BTS received the group’s first nomination for the ’63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards’ with their single “Dynamite” which is nominated for the ‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance’ category alongside other hit tracks from Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain on Me” and Taylor Swift and Bon Iver’s “Exile”.
BTS will perform at the awards ceremony, while the actual performance will be pre-recorded and played during the live ceremony due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2020 BTS went live on their VLIVE app and chatted with fans after their performance at the Grammy stage with Lil Nas and Billi Ray Cyrus on the song Ol’ Town Road. They raised their glasses to celebrate and thank their fans
In 2019 BTS also went on VLIVE after presenting the award to H.E.R. they also raised a glass in celebration and thanked ARMY as well
