BTS’ “Dynamite” Becomes Top 5 Most Liked Music Video In The World

BTS’ “Dynamite” music video surpassed 22 million likes to become the only artist in Korea to achieve that feat and no. 5 most liked worldwide. The MV is also the fastest to achieve the millstone as all the others were released between 2015 and 2017! “Dynamite” debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the band’s first number-one single in the United States and making BTS the first all-South Korean act to top the Hot 100. The song sold 265,000 downloads in its first week, marking the biggest pure sales week. On Spotify, “Dynamite” debuted with 7.778 million streams, marking the biggest opening-day for a song in 2020. Additionally, “Dynamite” peaked at number one on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, topping the latter for three consecutive weeks.

Initially a standalone single, “Dynamite” was later included on BTS’ “BE” album released on 20th November 2020. BTS first performed “Dynamite” at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards on August 30, 2020. They followed that up with  performances on different dates on; the Today Show, America’s Got Talent, iHeartRadio Music Festival, NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts, NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Music Day (Japan), GRAMMY Museum: Program At Home, On Radio360.com, the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, the 2020 American Music Awards, Good Morning America Show, The Late Late Show With James Corden, BEST ARTIST 2020, the 2020 FNS Music Festival, the 2020 Melon Music Awards (MMA) and 2020 Mnet Asia Music Awards (MAMA)
