BTS’ “Dynamite” maintains no. 1 Position On Billboard Hot 100 Second Week in a Row!

“Dynamite’ cannot be stopped! Its record after record and we are not getting tired of it! RM, J-Hope, Jin, Jungkook, Jimin, Suga and V have taught us to love ourselves and enjoy music because it is beautiful music. “The release of Dynamite wasn’t in our plans at all” RM said at an online press conference “As soon as we heard it, we thought it was really fun and exciting, fun and cherry song that wasn’t that serious. It just made us feel good when we heard it. We really wanted to share this energy with the fans as soon as possible”

And we are so glad BTS shared that feel good song that has turned the entire music and non music world into a disco bopping, retro feeling happy kind of mood. We cannot forget how ‘Dynamite’ started with the highest views in a premier, then came the highest number of views in 24 hours, then came fastest song to hit 109 no1′ on iTunes, then the most liked MV with 17 million likes, recently it became the most commented MV of all time in YouTube history, last week it charted number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100..

And now, for the second week in a row BTS ‘Dynamite’ is still at no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100! The chart ranks the most popular songs in the USA across all genres based on streaming, radio airplay and sales data.

According to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, “Dynamite” earned 16 million radio airplay, and 182,000 downloads sold in the week ending September 3rd 2020. “Dynamite” is the first song to have sold over 180,000 downloads in consecutive weeks in nearly four years since The Chain Smokers “Closer” featuring Halsey in September 2016. “Dynamite” is also the first song to have sold over 180,000 downloads in its first two weeks of release since Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling” in May/June 2016.
